Khanty-Mansiysk greets ski orienteers from 18 countries

A bit less than a week is left to the start of the European Ski Orienteering Championships and Ski Orienteering World Cup Final in Khanty-Mansiysk. The organizing committee of the event has received confirmations of participation from athletes representing 18 countries –  Austria, Belarus, Estonia, Russia, Italy, Japan, Norway, Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Sweden, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Egypt,  Switzerland and Finland.

The current leaders of the Ski Orienteering Cup are Andrey Lamov of Russia (130 points) and Magdalena Olsson from Sweden (136 points).

The European Ski Orienteering Championships and Ski Orienteering World Cup Final will take place at the Alexander Filipenko Winter Sports Center of Khanty-Mansiysk on March’08-16. The program of the event includes five races:

March’10, 14:00 – sprint
March’11, 14:00 – middle
March’12, 14:00 – sprint relay
March’14, 14:00 – long
March’15, 14:00 – relay
